Three Simple Steps to Pump Up Self Confidence

Part 1. Classic Literature VideoBook with synchronized text, interactive transcript, and closed captions in multiple languages. Audio courtesy of Librivox. Read by John Greenman. Playlist for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain: www.youtube.com

Here are three simple steps you can use each day to strengthen your inner confidence.

Step One.    Start a journal that contains three sections; Journaling, Success and Having Gratitude.

It may seem very simple and perhaps even to some a little woo woo, however it has been well researched and proven that writing things down helps to achieve what you want in life.  “When you see it and believe it your can create it.”

a.  Daily happenings. Writing is a fantastic way to get rid of feelings and thoughts that don’t serve you well.   You can write a few lines or a few pages depending on what you choose to do and what each day brings.

b. Your Daily Successes.  Most people don’t even realize that they have many successes during a day.  A success is anything, whether big or small that is an action.  For example:  If my blog is ready on time that’s a success. If I don’t wait until the last minute to get things to my assistant that’s a success!  If I empty my dishwasher instead of leaving it for the next day that’s a success.   It can be personal or professional.     By putting your daily success actions into a journal over time it allows you to see what you really do achieve each day.  It could be two to three actions you took that day to take you nearer to your goals.

I like to take a look at the end of each week to see how much I actually did achieve in a week. As you look back on your entries of positive accomplishments, it will give you motivation to achieve even more.  It also helps me to see where I’m just making busy work or when I’m being really productive.

c.  Having gratitude for what you have, not for what you don’t have.  Write 3-5 things each day that you are really grateful for in life.  You will be amazed at what happens when you continue to do this and how much it changes your thinking to be really positive.

Step Two:  Setting Your Goals.  I always encourage clients to set short and long term goals then put them aside and come back to creating the action to achieve them. Instead of attempting to achieve everything at once break the actions into smaller steps that you want to meet each day.    Each time you cross off the small steps, you gain more confidence in yourself and you’ll empower yourself to reach the next step until you’ve achieved the primary goal.

If your goal is to save money for a vacation, you can plan small steps like placing $5 in a savings jar each day. You’ll feel good knowing you’ve done seven things for yourself one week rather than waiting until you suddenly need $1,000 to fall into your lap for your upcoming holiday.

If you don’t finish a step, I encourage you not to beat yourself up.  Lots of people are very good at that because they think they failed.   In my book, there is no such thing as failure.  Everything in life is a learning experience and the small steps help you to gain the confidence and self esteems you want to build.

Step Three.   Read inspirational quotes.  Search the Internet or purchase a book with lots of inspirational quotes on confidence or self-esteem.  I have an International Monday Motivator quote that goes out each week which is both written and recorded.  If you are interested in this, you can find all the information together with my free 6 lesson E.course at www.sayyestoyoucoaching.com.    Use weekly quotes to jumpstart your week or a daily quote to jumpstart your day.  Apply it to your life throughout each day.  This will give you another success to add to your daily journaling.   Always set an intention at the beginning of each day about how you choose to feel that day and then follow through on that intention.

And, always remember to take a little time to yourself each day because you deserve it.

After about a month I think you will be amazed at how much more confidence you have in your own ability and how much using these 3 simple steps are changing the way you think and your ability to achieve your goals.

Everybody Wants to be a Great Public Speaker:

Steve Ballmer starting a presentation.

Heavenly Father,
Hallowed be your name, your kingdom come
Your will be done on this Earth as it is in the Heaven
Give us today our Daily bread
Forgive us our debt and sins
As we have forgotten our debtors and sinners
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from the evil one
For you are the glory and the power and the kingdom
Forever and ever
Amen.
Whenever a Christian speaker speaks, don’t you feel something inside? Don’t you feel that things around you are not the same as some times ago? Whether its silent prayer, taking benevolence or intercessory prayers or it might be some casual counseling or the delivery of the sermon, he speaks with a conviction he speaks with power, he speaks with confidence. It seems that the fire inside him is erupting and out flows the positive shower that takes away our fear, doubts, disbelief and what not! We tend to realize that our adrenaline is not at its normal. The vibes that we feel in the air become entire different as compared to that which was there before the delivery of the message. In the basic sense, the message delivers what we need to hear, what we like to hear and what was really needed for us to hear at that time in order to take some vital decisions in our life. In addition to that it contains the explosive dose that sparks our internal power and motivation that switches on all the accelerators of ours and keeps us going in the track in an enormous speed. It’ not magic rather it’s just a simple strategic move that the speaker can take at any point of time in ignorance of the listeners and even in some case, in ignorance to himself as a whole. That’s why we sometimes tend to say that they are speaking in tongue or as if God himself is speaking through them to us.
These inspirational speakers might seem to be emotional enough from our point of view but in reality they are professional speakers at an utmost extent. They might or might not be getting the remuneration in cash or kind but they really are up to the mark in the sense they always try their best to do whatever is expected from them at that point of time.

Find Inspiration at Work and Avoid Stress

Do you find that when you get to the office, your motivation and inspiration for your daily work duties leaves you and you have no enthusiam for your work? Here are some helpful ideas to get you going towards a better work day!

Simple Ideas to find Inspiration at Work

One of the best ways to put yourself in a position to find the neccesary motivation is to make sure you are comfortable. You need to make sure your chair supports your back, your desk is at the right height, and you have an ergonomically correct keyboard and mouse. Repetitive strain injuries have been on the rise for some time now, so speak up and you just might find your employer willing to cooperate. Im sure he would rather adjust the environment rather than deal with a workers compensation claim!

If that is not so - Worst case: bring in your own office supplies or equipment. There's no reason that your body has to suffer even if your boss is really stingy!

Clean Up and De-Clutter Your Workspace

I find inspiration by getting rid of the clutter on my desk and getting everything back to tidy! A cluttered workspace can zap you of your creativity because you spend more time trying to find things than actually getting your work done.

Look at your workspace objectively and ask yourself: "What absolutely NEEDS to be here?" Remove the things that make you feel claustrophobic, stop hoarding rubbish and toss the things you never use. File or bin anything else as your work items should be filed away in an organizational system that works for you.

Here's the bottom line: just hold on to the things that are vital for your daily chores or will propell you towards success in your duties! Keeping anything else serves no purpose and adds nothing more than clutter and distraction. Then, all this clutter zaps your motivation and inspiration, so avoid it! Now, if you do this, you will feel so much better! You will be more relaxed and able to think more clearly.

How Can You Create an Inspirational Computing Experience?

Are you in an office? do you spend the majority of your time on a computer? Do you ever clean up your computer? or do you have 72,000 emails sitting around and files you never use saved to your hard drive? Clean out your computer! Delete all your temporary internet files and your computer will run faster and then bring inspiration into your workspace through inspirational wallpapers.

Now, these usually free downloads can be very helpful in inspiring you during that long 8-10 or 12 hours! Try checking out a picture of the Bahamas. I for one, know just how hard it is to stare at a screen all day and remain motivated - its tough. But if you have to stare at it - make it something Inspirational!

You can check out these wallpapers when you are having a hard time getting started, getting motivated, or just finding the inspiration to push forward. Inspirational wallpapers typically contain beautiful landscapes with inspirational quotes or sayings. Sometimes all you need to get going is a gentle push in the right direction, and inspirational wallpapers just might be what the doctor ordered. It really can be that simple!

The great thing about these wallpapers is that they don't take up any physical space, so there's no need to worry about clutter. You also can use some of the images and quotes on the wallpaper to create screensavers for your computer. Your computer has the potential to inspire you in so many ways!

Inspiration can often seem impossible to find at work, but you may need to think outside of the box and find ways to get inspired. Keep things simple and don't let clutter get you down.

A really good idea is to listen to your Ipod or similar - if you can!

Anytime I need aboost - I put on a personal development cd and listen deeply and contently. This is particularly helpful even when I happen to be really down or stressed!

Now , if you are like me, and work from home - it can be really tough to stay on track somedays. If you have tried all of the above only to find you are still missing something, then get up and go for a walk around the block!

After all, this is the main benefit to working for yourself! You can get up and go anytime you want to, especially if its for a quick rejuvenation walk! My block has water on 3 sides - its almost an island. I have the beach on one side, an inlet on the other and a lagoon on the other! I have an extemely pituresque outlook and feel very priveledged!

When you feel down for whatever reason, use self help techniques to find motivation and inspiration at work and have a great day!

The Many Benefits Of Using An Audio Book

An audio book is simply a book produced in a format that is audible. Audio books started in the Spanish language and soon blossomed into a multi-linguistic media. Many individuals and corporations use them for many reasons. You can purchase audiobooks on online store like http://spokenalliance.com

The very first audio book was produced in 1975 as a collection of short stories. The author was David Sánchez Juliao and the audio book was in Spanish. Since then, audio books have been used to teach children to read, as a method for the blind to have access to books, and as a learning format for everything from learning a foreign language, guitar lessons, motivational seminars, and cooking lessons. The self-help industry utilizes audio books to tape workshops, conferences and basically uses them as a learning tool.

Audio books have become so popular as a learning tool, because of the portability and relative low cost. In this fast-paced society, audio books have allowed us to multi-task while reading a book or learning a new skill. The ability to hear how words are pronounced can make all the difference when it comes to learning a language successfully.

Audio books have features that are valuable when learning a new skill. A feature such as the ability to replay a segment to reinforce what has been said. Another would be having the ability to listen to an unabridged version (word for word readings from a book), while following along in the actual hardcopy of the same book. Audio books make note taking easy, because of the ability to replay a section, as many times as necessary in order to get all the notes you need.

Audio books can be in CD, cassette or downloadable format. Giving a choice of formats allows the consumer to hear a book in the format best suited to their lifestyle. Audio books are very versatile so they fit just about anyone's need. Audio books are downloadable to your computer or MP3 player, or you can burn them to CDs. You can purchase them in bookstores or borrow them from your local library. You can find free audio books on numerous Websites or buy them from Audio book clubs. Audio books can be found alongside video rentals as consumers find they compliment each other and are likely to buy them at the same time.

Parents have found that taking audio books along on long commutes can entertain the little ones and allow everyone to have a more peaceful drive. Many workers make good use of the daily commute by listening to self-improvement audio books, or pop in a audio book to catch up on their reading or to learn a language. Now the drive to and from work can be a productive time.

Corporations use business audio books as learning tools for employees, to encourage staff in pursuit of higher learning. There are many inspirational speakers on audio book. Business topics cover managing, motivating employees, closing sales, how to conduct successful negotiations and so much more.

The audio books have grown into a billion dollar industry because of their portability, and use as a learning tool and ability to make reading fun. The audio book appeals to all ages and every family member from the youngest who needs to learn to read, a convenient way for mom to keep up with her book club members, a cool way for a teenager to "hear" his English assignment or dad to motivate himself before a big power meeting.
